Girls Miss Treated
Seeing what the media does to women is horrible because even in commercials they show photo shopped images of a perfect body why truly it is impossible to get. This lets women feel insecure because they try so hard to reach that point when the truth is there really is no way to do so. These advertisement are using fake body forms to try and sell their products, then when the girl consumer buys them they are unsatisfied with them because they are not able to look like the women in the advertisement. Study's find that majority of girls are depressed and concerned about their bodies and of how they will never be able to live up to the high standard that the advertisement company's give them to live by.

Many women today are concerned about how they look but I think more and more frequently, there are women intellectuals. I think this is because of women role models, like Hilary Clinton.
ReplyDeleteThe media has definitely made girls into something they're not, and misleading them. Over the years, we have formed an image of beauty and perfection because of what the media shows us, which is simply not possible most of the time, but we still pressure ourselves to meet these unrealistic standards to fit into society, and it's not good for our mental or emotional stability.
ReplyDeleteThe media has objectified women to the extent that they do not even realize it, like it has almost become a social norm. I totally agree with the fact that this is used to the advantage of beauty companies because it will keep them with a constant supply of young women trying to become beautiful.
